Masking Tips To Mask Better Or Looks Pro
I am not a great masker myself but I have some tips that will make you a better masker.
Masking Tips w/ Sony Vegas
Mask whatever you want to mask.
When You finish your Frame.
Go to your keyframe and move the time cursor to the next few Milliseconds.
then Switich your Tools From the Masker To The Arrow. (see tool panel on the left of the window)
Now You don't have to make a new mask. Just move the points and
make the next mask. Its still time consuming but its save a little time.
TIPS USING THIS METHOD!
When masking hands. Make new frames for those because they
are harder due how freely they move. Same as Legs Or weapons.

I was so proud when I masked Yuna's hand moving, hahah.
Another tip is to feather it at 1. It still looks really natural, but there are no sharp edges.

Re: Masking Tips To Mask Better Or Looks Pro
Feather is one of the most abused masking tools out there. Other then just straight up masking. I end up taking days to mask cause I'm such a bloody idiot. If it looks like crap, it does not belong anywhere I can put it, other then the waste bin. >:l

I usually Feather to 3 or 4. but thats only cause i mask way too close to anything. if i mask anime then no feathering or at least 1.
Re: Masking Tips To Mask Better Or Looks Pro
You use feather to make to better match your background to your foreground, not to what you're using. There's always the edge thin tool if you think you lines are too inward.
